In order to assure quality and thus assure the ongoing improvement of internal processes, Wilson, Sons Logística developed its own quality program - Wilson, Sons Logística Excellence Program. The manager's adherence to the program is measured by means of seals, divided into three categories: gold, silver, and bronze.
In order to assure the continuous evolution of operations, Wilson, Sons Logística has a management model based on metrics and committees (operational and strategic) which allow for the real time monitoring of operations and the elaboration of enhancement projects, within a shared gain philosophy. The management of operations by the committees allows identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for ongoing improvement.

WMS – Warehouse Management System
When managing the operation, a Wilson, Sons Logística has RedPrairie's Supply Chain Execution (SCE) solution to assist it. Such solution, produced by a company which is a leader in the global market, brings, among the benefits brought by the system, better visibility, optimization of warehouse space, rationalization of resources (decrease of operating personnel), faster operation (decreasing the time in separation), and inventory standardization, with accuracy assurance in stock. In addition to that, the system is easily integrated to the main integrated management software products in the market.
Equipment maintenance
When managing the maintenance of our equipment, we use Engeman, a tool capable of planning, organizing, and controlling maintenance activities, such as equipment data registration, programming and monitoring of scheduled and performed services, and consumption of stock materials. With such system, Wilson, Sons Logística assures the standardization of maintenance processes, the increase in schedule stops and the decrease in corrective ones, in addition to more accurate managerial info.
Our equipment goes through real time data monitoring and transmission - via satellite. Thus, it is possible to know the exact position of each piece of equipment at any given time, as well as the viewing of movement records during the day and the real time measuring of control items, such as temperature, battery voltage, and ignition control.
Project management
New projects and implementation teams use Project Builder, a fully online solution which allows for a better visibility of projects and resources management by managers and clients, by means of schedules, portfolios, programs, and monitoring signs.
Simulator
In order to assure continuous improvement to our clients and analyze bottlenecks, risks, and changes in new operations, Wilson, Sons Logística uses Simul8, a real time simulation and modeling software product.
TMS –Transportation management system
In order to manage the whole transportation process, from the registration of drivers and carriers to the freight audit process, Wilson, Sons Logística developed WSTM, a software product which assures cost reduction by means of distribution coverage planning; consolidation of loads, optimization of boarding and efficient scripting; service level visible to the client, with homologation and evaluation of the carriers and real time delivery visibility; and risk reduction, with fleet evaluation, registration and approval of max boarding limits, and risk analysis for distribution routes.
Tracking and tracing
A system developed internally, MCE is intended to control movements, containers, and stock, being capable of parametrization for different types of operation. Among the functionalities are the control of sea and rail programming, entry and exit of containers in yards, in addition to the tracking of transit-times between yards and stock by location.
