In order to meet the needs of our ship owners, we also operate some Brazilian public ports, mainly the public ports of Fortaleza, in the state of Ceará (container, general cargo and cargo in bulk) and of Santos, in the state of São Paulo (vehicles). In Fortaleza, we carry out the port operations of load and unload of containers in the public dock of the Mucuripe Port, as well as the port operations of load and unload of general cargo and cargo in bulk, specifically paper and coke in bulk. In 2006, we transported 10,468 containers and 210,434 tons of general cargo and cargo in bulk in Fortaleza. In contrast, our operations in Santos consist exclusively of the loading and unloading of vehicles. In 2006, we transported a total of 147,823 tons of vehicles or 111,449 vehicles.
