We commenced operations in Tecon Salvador in 2000. Tecon Salvador is the largest container operator in the Brazilian Northeast region, providing services to vessels in the main routes of international commerce, including Europe, the United States and Middle East. The terminal has 74 million square meters of yard, dock with two berths of 214 meters and 240 meters and with drafts of approximately 12 meters. Moreover, Tecon Salvador has an additional area of 100,000 square meters outside the port for the storage of the empty containers.
In 2007, Tecon Salvador handled 157.441 containers or 253,535 TEUs. The productivity of Tecon Salvador has increased since the beginning of operations, reaching an annual average of 36.6 containers per hour in 2007. Currently, the maximum capacity of transportation of Tecon Salvador is approximately 220,000 containers, or 348,000 TEUs per year. CODEBA manages an area next to Tecon Salvador at the Salvador port, which was previously used to import and export of vehicles, which may represent an opportunity of growth.
