The Wilson Sons Group manages in a strategic and responsible manner the Occupational Health, Environment and Work Safety (HSE) areas, for understanding the importance of this conduct for the sustainable development of the business.
At Wilson Sons shipyards, promoting an HSE culture involves a number of management tools such as policies, procedures, instructions, awareness campaigns, process reviews, and more. The SMS guidelines are based on the concepts: continuous improvement, stakeholder relationships, emergency response, risk management, training, legal compliance, leadership and accountability.
The WS + project of the Health, Environment and Safety (HSE) area of Wilson Sons, implemented in 2011 at the Guarujá Shipyard, won the first place in the following year of the DuPont 2012 Occupational Health and Safety Management Award. The program, whose objective is precisely to create a culture of security in the company, was evaluated by an independent Evaluation Commission, formed by leaders and researchers of the area of HSE and representatives of the Ministry of Labor. The performance of Wilson Sons Shipyards is extraordinary when it competes with others.
