Wilson Sons Estaleiros receive two more vessels for dry – docking

Wilson Sons shipyard will conclude the maintenance of the PSV (Platform Supply Vessel) Zarapito and the tugboat Vega by the end of this month. The operations started on 4 June, in Guarujá, and includes repair procedures for the structural, mechanical, electrical and aesthetic integrity of the vessels.

In addition to these two vessels, the Company has performed ten other dry-dockings this year and has 14 more scheduled to total 26 contracts in 2019. The number exceeds the performance of 2018, when 24 naval repair operations were carried out.

“It is an important result and demonstrates the Company’s strength in a challenging period for the Brazilian naval industry. The PSV Zarapito belongs to Wilson Sons Ultratug Offshore and Vega to Wilson Sons Rebocadores.

In addition to the dry-docking contracts, the Company’s current orderbook futher contemplates the construction of an escort tugboat, with 90 tons of bollard pull, for Wilson Sons Rebocadores. Last year the company delivered a similar tugboat, the WS Sirius, the most powerful in the Brazilian coast.
