In these times of war against an invisible and lethal threat, 4,000 employees keep our port, maritime and logistics operations open, safe and functioning. They are 1,500 dedicated professionals at our container terminals in Salvador and Rio Grande ensuring the flow of goods. Another 1,500 crew from our offshore support vessels and towage activities who keep our fleet active. There are also more than 1,000 employees from shipyards, two offshore support bases – In Rio de Janeiro and Niterói -, shipping agency, logistics centres – in Santo André and Suape and from our international logistics provider Allink.

These are vital activities to supply the Brazilian population. We owe an immense gratitude to these true heroes who overcome daily tests of commitment, solidarity and courage.

Inspired by each of these men and women we decided to support the #JuntosContraOCoronavirus campaign.

The idea of the creators is to help União Rio and the Instituto da Criança to activate new ICU beds in federal, state and municipal hospitals in Rio de Janeiro; acquire personal protective equipment for health professionals, and distribute food baskets to communities that need it most.

Wilson Sons has decided to donate the amount that makes an ICU bed feasible for those who need it.

Our operations contribute daily to ensure that Brazil does not stop. And now, we add even more to the social actions that we have already carried out in support of União Rio and Instituto da Criança.
