Our portfolio includes container terminals in Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul, 80 tugboats that make up the largest and most powerful fleet in the country, 23 offshore support vessels with Brazilian flag, two offshore support bases in Guanabara Bay/RJ, a bonded logistics center in Santo André/SP, two shipyards in Guarujá/SP, international logistics services to over 70 countries, and one of the largest independent shipping agencies in Brazil.
Throughout its more than 180 years of history, Wilson Sons has always anticipated changes and created solutions that contributed to the country's development.
In 2019, the company became a partner of Cubo Itaú, the largest hub for fostering technological entrepreneurship in Latin America, with the objective of promoting the innovation ecosystem and the development of new technologies for the sector.
In 2020, we went further. We made the first direct investment in a startup, AIDrivers specializing in the conversion of port vehicles and heavy machinery into autonomous equipment. The company has a minority stake in the startup.
In 2021, another important milestone in our journey: we acquired a minority stake and an exclusive commercial agreement in Brazilian ports with the startup Docktech, owner of digital twin technology, which maps and stores bathymetric data (depth measurement) to understand the behavior of the seabed and identify how its patterns can affect navigation and dredging conditions.
The initiatives are important steps on the way to digital transformation and industry 4.0. They are part of the company's strategy to promote innovation and development of port and maritime infrastructure.
